Description

Great Blue Heron Provincial Park offers a quiet escape to those wishing to embrace the great outdoors at Emma and Anglin lakes. The park offers a variety of camping opportunities including electric, non-electric and group campsites. Want to try something new? Stay in the park’s Mongolian-style yurt located at Anglin Lake. Other amenities include beaches and picnic areas, boat launches, filleting stations and more than 25 km of hiking trails. This scenic park is popular with anglers, boaters and hikers. Located adjacent to Prince Albert National Park and the community of Christopher Lake, Great Blue Heron Provincial Park is a central location to experience all that the area has to offer.

The Tower tenting sites are located at the summit of the Tower hill at Anglin Lake. Enjoy hiking the trails enroute to your site and then take in a bird’s eye view from the summit at the Tower Cabin. These tenting sites are located a 3 km hike from the trailhead. Parking is located at the Anglin bridge. Firewood, washrooms and bear proof food lockers are provided. Potable water is not provided. Remember to pack out what you pack in. Cellular coverage is intermittent along the trails, but adequate at the tenting sites. Be sure to purchase your park entry permit prior to arrival.
