PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
There's nothing quite like a frosty lodgepole forest in winter. Learn the basics and join a Park Interpreter on a guided snowshoe through the park. From talking trees to cozy animal homes, experience this unique Saskatchewan landscape up close.
PLEASE NOTE: If there is not sufficient snow, this program will be offered as a guided hike. If temperatures in the program location are below -26°C with the wind chill, this program will be cancelled, and a Lodgepole Pine Print Coaster Craft will be offered in the Visitor Centre. Learn all about the lodgepoles whose only home in Saskatchewan is Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. Craft your very own lodgepole pine print coaster using clay and a lodgepole pine sprig, so you can always have a piece of the Cypress Hills wherever you go!
Visitors are welcome to drop into programming if registration is closed, pending equipment availability.
Cancellations will be made 24 hours in advance, and all pre-registrants will be notified via email.
